A foreigner in Hamburg
I went for first time to Hamburg for submit the registration papers at the TUHH, in middle of September 2001. As i was in "new territory", was complicate to find a room, the University and so on...
By these days the city was schocked by terrorist attack (terroranschlage) in USA, the previous week, and military forces were deployed in many places like the train Main Station (Hauptbahnhof); for instances, wasn't allow to take pictures on those places.
My first image from Hamburg, is the big display with the brand "Philips" which is inside the Main Station; some minutes later i was completely lost in the downtown and the local people help me to find a hostel to sleep. I am in gratitute.

The photo shows some candels and flowers in the Rathausplatz as spontaneous sign of condolence from the people of that city, due the attacks on Sept 11. The other photo shows a street, near TUHH, where the terrorist-team were living and praying (warning: there is a Church in the picture... The Marienstrasse Kath. Kirche).
